Betsy Johnson Design created this eight page catalog for Denver’s Modern Bungalow furniture store that features consumer information about purchasing quality Amish furniture, custom-made by Amish artisans. It features details about how to choose the perfect style, wood and finish for a fine piece of custom furniture.

The design challenge for this job was to create a small catalog that was compact enough to be a self-mailer, but also robust enough to include all the necessary information to educate the consumer about purchasing custom-made Amish furniture. The result was a clean and airy design that allows the reader to easily focus on important visuals and text.

Modern Bungalow’s branding features an Arts & Crafts-style logo and stylized font. The catalog design was to be in keeping with the graphic standards of the company. Willow, an Arts & Crafts-style font, was selected for the headlines. A more neutral and compatible font, Candara, was used for the bold subheads and overall text.
